AI visibility: which engine sees what

The AI visibility card answers two different questions per engine and never mixes them. Can read you comes from your robots.txt, crawler by crawler, on the last crawl. Cites you comes from real citation checks: we put your tracked questions to the engines and read the answers.

Untested means exactly that: we have not asked this engine this question. It is not a miss and it never counts against you. Engines are tested per your plan (Claude on Listed, plus Perplexity on Verified, plus ChatGPT and Google AI on Grounded). Microsoft Copilot has no public API, so it stays honestly untested for everyone.

One nuance worth knowing: Google AI Overviews read your site through ordinary Googlebot, while the Google-Extended crawler governs Gemini and AI training. The matrix says which one each verdict is about.
