Grounded AEO speaks MCP, the protocol AI agents use to call tools. Point any MCP-capable AI at https://groundedaeo.com/api/mcp and it can read verified catalogs, check records, search the public catalog, run the free audit, and generate free records, no browser involved.

The catalog and record tools are open to everyone because they are the standard’s public face. Measurement tools that spend money (competitive snapshots, SERP checks, the engine tools) authenticate to a paid account, the same rule as the dashboard.

Everything is rate-limited per address and every write path carries the same protections as the website forms. An anonymous agent can never write to a claimed customer’s record.
